Spring Melt & Back to Winter

Greetings from Londonderry,
Woah. That was a wild week of warmth.
It took care of the all-natural snow trails but the snowmaking trails hung on. We did a midday groom yesterday after the flash freeze-up in the morning to help our intrepid skiers for a better afternoon. For today, the groomers were able to do wonders overnight for a much more enjoyable ski experience, with the sun softening it up as well.
We also made the decision to turn on the snowmaking system again last night to hit the entry and exits to the West Side so we can re-open Upper Wizard and Talisman today! Our plan is to invest in more snowmaking Saturday night and next week, after a brief round of warm wet weather on Monday, to reinforce key areas affected by the heat wave so we can push through in better shape for skiing into early April for our fantastic ski community.
Sometimes you have to just go out and make your own luck. And with that, it seems like the show showers we were supposed to get tonight into Saturday is turning into a bigger helping of 3-6" which will make for a lovelier scene and conditions for the ski weekend! So we hope to see you here as there is some early St Patrick's Day celebrating going on starting this afternoon and even a private wedding celebration out at the T-Bar on Saturday!

The BLT kicks off the fun today with our St Paddy's Party featuring Gypsy Reel from 4-7p, with SINGO after that with some Irish song twists! Chef Dave has a Guinness Irish Stew special for dinner with the bar staff pouring plenty of Guinness and Jamison's for those so inclined.
We continue the good times on Saturday with The Side Effects playing our apres ski party and then Mike McMann and the Underdawgz hit the BLT Stage at 7pm.
Next weekend is our Spring Fling weekend and the T-Bar will be rocking with a party there, plus the Pepsi Vertical Challenge race on Show Off, our classic Flamingo Toss from Black Chair for prizes, Scavenger Hunt and live band! The fun also kicks off on Friday at the T-BAR with our Equinox Spring party at noon with live DJ and dancing all hosted by our friends at Lawson's Finest Liquids! Lots of giveaways from Sean Lawson himself. Get out of work early on Friday and get to the slopes and the T-Bar!
