"Dog Days of Summer" Coming Soon!

Two Londonderry summer treasures in one: Lowell Lake State Park and Glebe Mountain
Two Londonderry summer treasures in one: Lowell Lake State Park and Glebe Mountain

Greetings from Londonderry,

With the summer heat, the lakes and ponds of Vermont are the perfect way to refresh and cool down after a hike in the mountains.

Another fun way is to stop in at the Tavern and grab a cold one in our air-conditioned bar or enjoy music out on the deck or mountain lawn on Saturday evenings as the sun sets and the moon rises. Our "Dog Days of Summer" Concert Series begins next Saturday and runs through September 6th with bands kicking off at 7pm on the deck. All shows are free for all to enjoy. There is a wedding on August 16th which will be a private event, but otherwise head here for music under the stars on Saturday nights, with good food and drink at the Black Line Tavern.

___________

Did you know? The two largest ski conglomerates, Vail and Alterra, have increased their Epic and Ikon season pass prices every year, including last year between 6-7%. Totally understandable given the considerable cost increases ski operators face with double-digit increases on general liability insurance, rising energy costs and necessary investments in infrastructure and people. This is something all ski areas face and is especially hard on independent ski areas that don't have the bargaining power of larger conglomerates.

Did you know? Magic has NOT raised its season pass prices for two-years in a row. While not easy to do, we try to take care of our most loyal skiers and riders. We appreciate all who choose to ski here and, of course, we'd like to see more join the ranks of our Magic "faithful" pass holders--some of the best and friendliest skiers and riders in the East. We've invested a lot to make sure Magic is a freer, more open, less crowded place to enjoy winter. We have all the lifts, classic trail and glade layout, and right mix of snowmaking and all-natural terrain with the challenge most seek, no matter the skill level. Join the adventure!

Now's a great time before July ends to spread your season pass payment over 5 months with zero interest.

At the Tavern

As mentioned, we have the Dog Days of Summer Concert Series starting next week, but many of you have already been enjoying our acoustic solo acts on Saturdays as well. This weekend we have The Side Effects playing from 5-8pm on the Deck. And, our new chef Jennifer has dinner specials plus Prime Rib for $22 on Friday. New bartenders Johnnie and Ellora have also gotten into the act with a couple drink specials of their own, which I must say, are pretty tasty ;-)

Vermont-style Ophelia and Mangonero Basil Margarita drink specials!

Check out our events on the website

With hiking, disc golf, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, biking, music festivals and concerts, there's so much to do here in the surrounding Londonderry area over the summer. Lots of weddings, too! So we hope to see out here enjoying it all!

Keeping the soul in summer and skiing!
