Greetings from Londonderry,

It's that time of year when we are finishing up all our key mountain projects as Vermont turns into "stick season" and soon-to-be snowmaking season.

Working with Summit Resources, our upgraded snowmaking pipeline is in with new energy-efficient tower guns fully installed that can blow snow both in the Abracadabra area as well as lower Hocus Pocus heading into the Black Quad lift area! System testing will occur next week and then snowmaking is ready whenever the temperatures get consistently cold enough in November.

Red Chair is the final lift to get state inspected next week and then all our lifts standby at-the-ready to take you back up this glorious 1,500 foot vertical mountain for a season full of adventure and fun. Our planned opening date for mid-mountain skiing with snowmaking/grooming is the weekend of Thanksgiving with a big on-hill opening party on Friday afternoon for pass holders and then all-comers Friday evening from apres ski at the BLT to live band that night.

We will be taking our annual early November hiatus starting November 1st as we get the kitchen ready for Winter! But before that, we are on for dinner tonight and our big Halloween Costume & Dance party. We'll be judging costumes and you all get your chance to cheer for the top 3 to see who wins the big prize! The DJ will have us dancing from 7-11pm so hope to see all you ghosts and goblins here Friday Night for a spooktacularly good time!

We are looking forward to our annual employee orientation day here on November 9th to get every one here raring to go for the winter season. Ski Patrol has already held their refresher course as well and they were both in the classroom in the lodge and out on the mountain working all their safety and care scenarios.
