Arriving Now: Stick Season
Greetings from Londonderry,
As you can see, the mountain has mostly shed it leaves as we begin the transition to "stick season". It's still a beautiful time to be here in Vermont as the mornings are full of frost and then by midday the sun is often out bringing temperatures into the 50s, and sometimes into the 60s.
It's part of the rhythm and vibe as Vermont gets ready for the upcoming long winter season. The preparations continue while we soak up every ounce of Autumn.
Snow guns are getting pre-positioned at the summit down to Trick; a few pipes are getting welded; and, it won't be long until snowmaking begins when we get some consistent snowmaking temperatures!
We are also getting our last two weeks of fun in at the Black Line Tavern before we go on our early November hiatus, after our annual Halloween Bash, until Thanksgiving Friday re-opening for the Winter season. So we hope to see you at the mountain soaking up all the beautiful fall weather and views these next two weeks.
Plus, there are a couple of ski shows we will be venturing to so our team can chat with anyone going to the shows in search of good deals--and we will have some show specials for you. This weekend the Upstate Sports Ski Show is in nearby Saratoga Springs City Center on Saturday and Sunday starting at 10am, with free admission. Then in two weeks it's Snowvana New England in Marlborough MA from 11/6-8. Should be fun!

BLACK LINE TAVERN
Just two Tavern weeks left before a stick season break! Tonight we have SINGO and then Saturday features Jenny Porter from 5-8pm. The BLT opens at 4pm both days.
Our last Trivia Wednesday kicks off next week and then we close it out with our annual adult Halloween Costume and Dance Bash featuring DJ JSPIN$ on Halloween Saturday, October 31st from 7-10p. Not to be missed!
Then there is the "Running of the Dead" 5K run/walk on Sunday 11/1 at 12Noon if you are not too tired from dancing the night before. It starts at the historic Train Depot in South Londonderry with a party to follow. Registration on the West River Trail Association website here
