Greetings from Londonderry,
Just a quick update as the National Ski Area Association held their annual conference this week down in, of all places, Florida.
Anyway, the NSAA reported that skier visits to all ski resorts in the US totaled 61.5 million this last season. That's the 2nd highest total ever recorded! That makes for some crowded resorts which is good for the industry...
So I want to congratulate all of you who skied Magic and avoided all those crowds! Skiing in the freedom of no lift lines and wide-open trails and glades--even while we enjoyed a record year ourselves!
That's our vision of what a ski experience can be. Full lots, no lines, just good times.
It's amazing what we can do together when we put skiers and riders FIRST. When we put the actual ski experience FIRST by limiting ticket sales; investing in added uphill lift capacity utilizing fixed-grip lifts; and expanding snowmaking. Can't wait for the 25/26 season!
Less than one month left for our Early Bird Tier 1 Pricing time period thru 6/15. Save up to $200 per pass over in-season rates. Tier 1 is also the only one you get rewarded for an Unlimited Pass purchase with 2 FREE ticket vouchers to bring your friends (another $200+ value). And, if you buy now, our no-interest payment plan allows you to spread payments over 7 full months which can be very helpful for families.
Today we have the Black Fly Bash happening from 4-9pm at the Black Line Tavern. So if you are in the neighborhood, drop by for live music (Rust & Ruin + House on Fire), food and ice cream as we help support The Little School with a silent auction! And put May 31st on the calendar for the annual Mountain Town Get Down fundraiser as we "ski the pile"!
Also from the NSAA show, our little corner of the ski world is getting noticed. Our different approach has gained more followers and fans, which we appreciate.
From all of us at Magic, we hope you are enjoying the Spring weather. We will see you here over the summer and fall with lots of good times centered around the BLT and the Alpen Deck, including weddings, before next ski season.
Keeping the soul and freedom in skiing!
Geoff
