Greetings from Londonderry,
Well, winter has finally arrived here. (In fact, just picked up another 2" today.)
The temperatures have dropped for more consistent snowmaking and Tuesday's storm gave us 8-10" of snow to really progress natural snow base-building all across Magic! One more storm should do it!
With the colder weather, we've been able to make better snowmaking progress, both finishing Wand and, after tonight, having enough on Show Off to open Green Chair and begin the ski season here! Magic will open on Saturday for the first full day of skiing and riding down Wand to Show Off beginning at 9am with specially discounted$69 tickets all weekendfor the occasion!

So, I did mention that Saturday is the first "full" day of skiing. Never one to do anything unconventional, we've decided to throw in a FREE preview half-day of skiing tomorrow (Friday) starting at 12:30 off Green Chair. The snowcats will be finishing up pushing piles and grooming them out by early in the morning after more snowmaking, so what the heck, why not? Zero cost for anyone who wants to get a few warm-up laps in. But if you don't have a season pass, please get the free ticket online so it can be loaded onto your RFID card for access to the lift. If you don' have an RFID from last year simply purchase that ($5) at check out as well. This all can be done walking up to our ticket office, too, with Amanda there ready to take care of you. (Reminder: There is no beginner or advanced beginner terrain open as of yet--coming soon next week!)
We hope you can join us and be a part of the season opening over the next 3 days so early in the season. The plan is to get the summit open by next weekend with snowmaking if the temps hold on the colder side--and perhaps, mother-nature will continue to kick in with more snow, too, after our very successful Ullr bonfire and prayer last Friday together! Our ski community has the power!

There's a lot going on at the Tavern as always. Tonight, Chef Dave has a Lasagna dinner special for just $15 so stop on in for drinks and dinner. The Tavern is open now Thursdays thru Sundays for lunch and dinner.
Friday is back now with SINGO from 7-9pm and Saturday's full opening day features Zach Yak for our always boisterous apres ski party!
