Greetings from Londonderry,

It's been a crazy weather cycle here since Christmas with a bunch of thaw/freezes, and lately, very little snow despite an allegedly good pattern set-up. While Saturday may bring some very helpful accumulating snow (2-4"), a big storm will have to wait another week.

The weather has mostly been too warm for continuous snowmaking, but we were able to make some on Monday to shore up the run-out from Lower Magic Carpet and Lower Wand as well. Our Private Mountain Rental group on Monday enjoyed the skiing all day long.

Thursday Night it was cold enough to re-start the system and we are targeting Trick to add another snowmaking trail for Saturday--probably skiing it as we make it! We will also be lighting up the exit area for Twilight Zone and Goniff Glade to possibly re-open skiing on those two big gladed trails as well this weekend. While the current open all-natural trails are certainly thin cover and firm after this recent weather, the operations and patrol groups are working hard to give you a good variety of terrain to ski for MLK. And, maybe we pick up a couple inches of real snow on Saturday, too!

And remember, we do have night skiing now at the Abracadabra Handle Tow area on Friday and Saturday nights from 4-7pm

MLK Weekend is packed with great music both inside and out! Of course there is Trivia Night on Thursday at 6:30 and Friday Night is SINGO. But Saturday features our first DJ outside at the Lawson's Finest T-BAR from 2-4pm, featuring DJ Dan Demerit.

Then inside, Pati Mac and Friends will be doing apres ski from 3-6p followed by local superstars Saints & Liars as they light up the BLT stage from 7-9:30pm. S&L is a totally FREE show thanks to our friends at The Landgrove--a great Inn and Restaurant under new ownership.

Then on Sunday we have The Sidekicks play for Apres leading into the band straight outta Brooklyn, Pink-182, who will rock all the pop punk classics from the 90s!
