Greetings from Londonderry,
This week, Mother-nature gave a snowy winter refresh to our trails/glades before heading into a major warm-up period. This weekend temps rise to around 50 degrees. Bring the wax and bring the shades!
Today and into the weekend will be a good time to get in the all-natural steeps as the next 5-6 days will certainly be way above average for temps. But, the forecasts are calling for another return to winter by end of next week that will extend through March. So let's enjoy a little "fake spring" (one of our many seasons in Vermont) this weekend on the snow, and then back to more wintry weather later next week.
To bolster some of our key snowmaking trails, we even went and made snow on Upper Wizard and Lower Magic Carpet to secure entry and exit to both West Side and East Side, plus we added Vertigo!

BLACK LINE TAVERN
With the nice weather on both Saturday and Sunday, the Lawson's Finest Liquids T-BAR will be a great place to hang and work on your "fake spring" tan. The BLT will also be jamming Saturday afternoon with a Chili Cook Off contest to help support both Ski Patrol and the Magic Mountain Outing Club from 3-6p inside. Live music for apres will head outside on the Alpen Deck with Sammy B playing with Zach Yak. The BLT stage welcomes Kale, a hot young band from the Hudson Valley playing their own electric indie-rock jam-band sound that will get us dancing: join us for Kale at 7pm!

If you are at all interested in joining our mostly volunteer ski patrol team next season, we would like to get the snowball rolling now by having you stop by the summit shack to meet, answer any questions of us, and come ski and ride a few runs with our team! Anytime from now through end of season.

Well, it's that time of year to grab the wide variety of open trails and fun here at Magic while we still can. Next week we have a special early St Patrick's Day Party on Friday the 13th with Gypsy Reel playing from 4-7pm. May the luck of the Irish bring us a snowy late March!
