Will Magic Mountain be open this year? YES! Despite a few low snow years and some tough times, Magic has been in continuous operation since reopening in 1997. Please bring a photo ID. I have been told Magic has lots of steep and challenging terrain, do you offer anything for beginners and intermediates? Yes we do! 66% percent of our trails are rated intermediate or lower. The "East Side" of Magic Mountain offers classic Vermont cruising trails for all ability levels. What are Magic's Holiday periods
Holiday periods are as follows: - Saturday, December 22 through Monday, December 31 - Saturday, January 19 through Sunday, January 20 - Saturday, February 16 through Sunday, February 24 Was the mid mountain “Green Lift” installed for the 2007-2008 Season? Unfortunately, no. We had plans to finish the installation of the Green Lift this past summer, but our plans were derailed due to a multitude of issues. The biggest issue was the need for more maintenance on both the Red and Black Lifts than we had anticipated. We were disappointed that we could not complete the installation, but plan on finishing the Green Lift in the summer of 2008. What is the East Side and West Side?
Over the years Magic skiers and riders have developed a way to seperate the two very distinct sides of Magic Mountain. As you look up the mountain, the left side is referred to as the "East Side". The East Side offers mostly novice and intermediate terrain with a few great glades and steeper pitches. As you look up the mountain, the right side is referred to as the "West Side". The West Side offers intermediate, advanced and expert terrain that is unrivaled in Southern Vermont. Why didn't the Tube Park open this season?
The 2007-2008 Season has been one of many ups and downs. While the skiing and riding has been quite good, it has taken all of our efforts in snowmaking, grooming and man hours to provide the best possible product for our skiing and riding guests. We tried our hardest to open the tube park but in the end the multiple thaws and non-snow weather events prevented us from being able to open a safe and enjoyable tubing park. We will be contacting Tube Park pass holders shortly. Thank you for your understanding.
