We have so many things for which to be thankful. A great ski season this past year, with ample snow and skiers. The unbelieveable resiliency of Vermonters after the destruction of Irene. The dedication and commitment of our workers and many volunteers to continue to make improvements to Magic each and every year. The many individuals and families who have personally invested in, and believe in, the future of this ski area. The distinctive physical resource of this great mountain which has provided so many memorable adventures and thrills over the last 50 years based on the initial vision of Hans Thorner. But, most importantly, we give thanks to the passionate and growing community of Magic “faithful” who really make this a fun and welcoming place to visit or call a “winter home”.

So, on behalf of our “faithful”  family to yours, please enjoy a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday. We’ll see you on the slopes soon!

Magic. The most laid back, real, skiing for all, fair prices, friendly customers and staff, trails for everyone. Magic / 50 years of fun!

I just wish Magic was more snowboard friendly. Our entire family are boarders and we have a place at Magic and love it but get the distinct impression that the love isn’t returned.

Samantha, we love our riders here! Just look at one of the big shots on our home page…The Magic glades are a boarder’s paradise and we have staked out some terrain this year on lower half for rails, jumps, etc. Now, there will be some who might call out from the red chair if they see someone scraping it all off coming down Red Line, but that’s just to encourage a more straight line approach to save the trail :-) . But that’s just a little intra-family ribbing–I’m sure they do the same thing when a skier slides down that trail too!

I have snowboarded at Magic for years Samantha and do feel vastly out numbered, In what ways do you feel the mountain could be more snowboard friendly? I feel like adding rails and jumps doesn’t necessarily make it more snowboard friendly. It makes it more free-style friendly, which is good for magic to expand it’s horizons, but not sure it is ore snowboard friendly
